Batik is a way to provide a woven fabric with decorations of paint. First, the material is painted with wax. That piece of fabric with the wax will not pick up the color when it is dyed. After the wax is on te fabric, the fabric is dyed. This whole process is done by hand. All this requires skill and repeatedly must be checked again of what you have created. When using Batik no piece of fabric will look like another, they are all unique. The students receive comprehensive lesson in how it is donet.
